The Granton Elementary School is located in the lower level of the Granton 4K-12 District building. GES has approximately 120 students.
As a small school district, it is our goal for every student to feel a sense of belonging in the Granton School community. We feel it is important for each child to have a meaningful connection to the adults and to the other students in the district. When teachers know virtually all students in the school by name, it fosters a culture of belonging, accountability, and support. Our smallness puts us in a position to better detect and help struggling students. The Granton School District received a Title I School of Recognition award for being in the top 25% of high-poverty schools in the state that had above-average student achievement in reading and mathematics when compared to similarly sized districts and poverty levels.
